FROM HARLEM TO MADONNA ...

HUMANITARIAN AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY 'HOW DO I LOOK' ...

CAPTURES UNDERGROUND GAY GLAM OF "HOUSE BALLS"....

Willi Ninja. Pepper Labeija. Octavia St. Laurent. Carmen Xtravaganza. If you're into the "House Ball" scene born in 1970s Harlem, you'll recognize these illustrious names. Even if you don't, you've seen their influence in pop hits like Madonna's "Vogue".

Now, OP will host a very special screening of "How Do I Look", an acclaimed documentary that captures an underground gay scene whose mark on pop culture is huge. The screening is dedicated to Willi Ninja (top row, center). And in a rare live appearance, voguing legends House of Ninja (top row, left) will perform exclusively at this event. It's a rare opportunity to see this uniquely gay art form.

Visionary Filmmaker/Director Wolfgang Busch (bottom row, left) with Assistant Director and Ballroom Icon Kevin Omni (bottom row, middle), who has produced and hosted fashion shows for 15 years, produced Balls for 25 years and has earned over 230 trophies since 1980, will join us for a post-screening Q&A. Poet Emanuel Xavier (bottom row, right), who's been part of this scene for years, will also read from his poem "Legendary", a work created in memory of Pepper LaBeija.

More than 10 years in the making, "How Do I Look" offers an intimate look inside the Balls. Downtown stars Kevin Aviance, Michael Musto and Patricia Field also dish about the scene. You'll also get the inside dirt on members of "Houses" whose talents led them to work with superstars like Madonna, Queen Latifah, India, and fashion designer Thierry Mugler; Jose Xtravaganza's (top row, right) tales of working with Madonna on the "Vogue" and "Truth or Dare" videos are especially priceless.

LOGO's Jason Bellini called How Do I Look "The hottest new gay documentary". You'll cheer along with him after seeing this wonderful film.

Wolfgang Busch is an award-winning director and editor for 'Art From The Heart', and an advocate, artistic and social activist for the LGBT community since the late 80's. He has worked with many music legends, such as Tito Puente, bassist Pete Way of the UK rock band UFO, GWAR, Nina Hagen, Melba Moore, and Robin Trower.
